How do I get a Library Card?

It does not cost anything to get a library card.  We need a copy of your Driver’s License, or proof of address.  While the library services the sister cities of Kiefer and Beggs, Mounds Public Library also tries to take into consideration college students, children, and relatives who visit the Mounds area and want them to be active in reading even though they may be on vacation.  You can also call 827-3949 and leave your name, address, phone number, and when you can come by and pick it up, or you can e-mail the information to Martha_Stalker@Mounds.lib.ok.us.

The library is located at 15 West 14th Street in downtown Mounds next to the park.  Heading south on alternate 75, turn right at police station, and go west one block.

Why doesn’t the library open more hours than what it does?

The library is funded by city revenues.  The library will be open more hours when there is more business generated in the town of Mounds.  That is why it is important to try to shop in Mounds when you can.  Monies are then generated to help support the increase in hours for expenses the library would have in being open more hours.
